Simmons Center Market

Simmon's Center Market/ Country Cobbler
The market is a retail/wholesale grocery store which specializes in fresh cut meats, fresh produce, gift baskets, institutional foods and paper supplies.

In 2004, the owners opened a newly remodeled greenhouse, gift and garden shop adjacent to the market. Remodeling continues every year and this year, part of the greenhouse was built like an open-air market with huge selections of pottery in all shapes and sizes, and great prices.

Flowers will arrive weekly through out the growing season with beautiful hanging baskets, geraniums, azaleas, star roses, shrubbery, perennials and loads of bedding plants including the Proven Winner variety.

The shop is full of garden flags, stones, statuary, birdhouses, bird feeders and unique country gifts. Concrete fountains, statues, birdbaths, and benches line the outside wall of the greenhouse along with wrought iron hooks, flag holders, bed rails and plant holders, and more!

Located on the corner of 600 Race Street and Cemetery Ave in Cambridge is a family business that opened on September 7, 1937. Its founders were James and Elizabeth Simmons. Two of their children and two of their grandchildren now own and operate the business.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-5pm.
