Located at the foot of the Choptank River Bridge the Visitor Center at Sailwinds Park East is the place to get up to date information on the many exciting attractions and events in Dorchester County.

Need to stretch your legs? Stop in for spectacular water views, clean restrooms, a play space for children, informative exhibits, and regional touring information. Just look for the large white sail at the foot of the Choptank River Bridge. Our friendly staff will be delighted to assist you with directions and will be glad to provide suggestions for your fun filled day.

The Visitor Center also serves as a starting point for our 105 mile Finding a Way to Freedom Driving Tour. The tour will guide you to exhibits, homes and home sites, meeting houses, mills and courthouses that illustrate the story of the Underground Railroad in Dorchester and Caroline Counties in the 1850s.
